Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a pleasurable experience if you're well organized. We've made a list of handy tips and tricks that will get your Cortile escape started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First of all, pack in your passport, important documents, wallet and daily medications. Next, you'll want some extra in-flight entertainment to while away the time. A thrilling book and a tablet filled with your favorite movies are some terrific options. If you intend to catch forty winks, a quality neck pillow and some noise-canceling headphones will also come in handy. Finally, make room for a toothbrush and some deodorant to ensure you step off the plane looking fresh and ready to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by security. Pointed or sharp objects, like your pocket knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, bleaching agents and matches, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your main concern when deciding what to wear on board. Loose, breathable clothing is a smart choice, as are flat, closed-toe shoes.
- You're probably aware of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by long periods of sitting. To lower your risk on board, stay hydrated, consider wearing compression socks or tights and move your legs and feet often.
