No matter where you're coming from, flying can be a seamless experience if you're prepared. We've put together a list of handy tips and tricks that will get your Delhi escape started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Firstly, and most importantly, pack your passport, travel docs, cash and medications. Next, you'll need some entertainment to while away the hours. A thrilling novel and a phone filled with your favorite movies are always good options. If you plan to catch up on some sleep, a neck pillow and a pair of earplugs will also be useful. Finally, make room for a toothbrush and some cleansing wipes so you'll arrive at your destination looking and feeling fresh.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated. Pointed or sharp objects, like your pocket knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as spray paint, flares and matches, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your aim is to be as comfortable as you can. Opt for slip-on footwear, dress in loose, natural-fiber clothing and don't forget to bring a jacket in case it gets chilly in the cabin.
- Caused by sustained periods of inactivity, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clot condition that can affect passengers during long-distance flights. Reduce the risks by staying hydrated, keeping your feet and legs moving and wearing compression socks to help your circulation.
