Wherever you're coming from, flying can be a pleasant experience if you've planned ahead. We've made a list of handy travel tips that will help get your Drepano vacation started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- It's simple — first, put in your passport, travel documents, bank cards and daily medications. Next, you'll want some in-flight entertainment to while away the time. A thrilling novel and a phone filled with your favorite movies are some wonderful options. If you intend to take a short snooze, a comfy neck pillow and a pair of earplugs will also be useful. Finally, squeeze in a toothbrush and some cleansing wipes to ensure you hop off the plane feeling fresh as a daisy.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Sharp or pointed objects, like your treasured pocket knife, and products which are flammable or explosive, such as spray paint, flares and fuels, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your top priority is to feel as comfortable as you can. Go for slip-on footwear, dress in loose, natural fibers and don't forget to bring a jacket in case you get cold in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by extended periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Walk around the cabin and give your legs a stretch or do some simple exercises in your seat to promote better circulation.
