We've rounded up all the info you need to make your flight as pain-free as possible. Follow our insider tips and you'll be zooming through airport security and having a ball in Edale in next to no time. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First and foremost, put in your passport, travel docs, credit cards and medications. Next, you'll need some entertainment to while away the hours. A thrilling book and a laptop crammed with your favorite movies are some fantastic options. If you intend to take a short snooze, a neck pillow and a pair of noise-canceling headphones will also be useful. Finally, squeeze in a few toiletry items so you'll hop off the plane feeling fresh as a daisy.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by authorities. Pointed or sharp objects, like your Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, flares and fuels, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your main aim is to feel as comfortable as you can. Opt for a pair of flat, closed-toe shoes, dress in loose, natural fibers and remember to take a pullover in case you get chilly in the cabin.
- Most travelers have heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by long periods of inactivity. To reduce your risk on board, stay hydrated, consider wearing compression socks and keep your legs and feet moving.
