Wherever you're coming from, flying can be a pleasurable experience if you've planned ahead. We've put together a list of handy travel tips that will help get your Enterprise vacation started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Traveling on a plane can be easy if you bring the right things. First things first, you'll need basic toiletry items, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a fresh change of clothes and something to read. Secondly, leave space in your bag for your mobile phone, a charger, any vital medications and perhaps a blow-up neck pillow as well. Lastly, remember to bring your passport, travel documents and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked baggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated. Pointed or sharp objects, like your trusty Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, flares and fireworks, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- You'll want to go for comfort over style. Prepare for temperature changes in the cabin by donning layers, and pick easy-to-remove shoes like sneakers.
- It's likely you've heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity. To minimize your risk on board, stay hydrated, consider wearing compression tights or socks and do gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat.
