We've pulled together all the info you need to make your flight as stress-free as possible. Follow our insider tips and you'll be breezing through airport security and enjoying Escala in next to no time. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be a comfortable experience if you carry the right stuff. Firstly, you'll want some basic toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and hairbrush, a spare change of clothes and a magazine or two. Next, find a spot in your carry-on bag for your mobile phone, a charger, any medications and perhaps a cozy neck pillow as well. Lastly, don't forget to take your passport, travel docs and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated. Sharp or pointed objects, like a Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and fuels, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your main aim is to be as comfortable as you can. Go for shoes that are easy to pull on and off, dress in loose, natural fibers and don't forget to take a jacket in case it gets chilly in the cabin.
- Caused by lengthy periods of inactivity, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clot condition that can affect some passengers during long flights. Lower your risks by staying hydrated, keeping your legs and feet moving and wearing compression socks to help your circulation.
