If you're poorly prepared, airports and flying can be tough. But there's no need to hit the panic button just yet. Follow these tips and tricks and enjoy a pain-free start to your time in Kolodovo. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Traveling on a plane can be a cruisy experience if you bring the right stuff. First of all you'll need basic toiletries, such as a toothbrush and hairbrush, a fresh set of clothes and a few magazines. Next, find a spot in your bag for your electronic gadgets, chargers, your medications and maybe a cozy neck pillow as well. Last, but definitely not least, don't forget to bring your passport, travel documents and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- While the list of banned items can differ between air carriers, the general rule to follow is nothing flammable, sharp or explosive. This includes screwdrivers, blades, spray paint and flares. Sporting equipment like ski poles, and items that could injure passengers, such as swords and guns, can't come on board with you either.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your number one priority is to feel as comfortable as possible. Layer up in natural-fiber clothing and remember to bring a cardigan just in case you get chilly. Always opt for flat, slightly roomy shoes as it's possible that your feet and ankles will swell during the journey. Leave the high heels and chunky boots in your checked baggage.
- Most of us have heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged periods of sitting. There's lots you can do to mitigate your risk. Wear a pair of compression tights or socks, drink lots of water and get your legs and feet moving. Walk around the cabin when possible or perform some stretches in your seat.
