We've got the lowdown on how to make your journey an enjoyable experience. Follow our top tips and you'll be speeding through airport security and enjoying Kucove before you know it.What to pack in your hand luggage:
- It's easy — first, pack in your passport, official ID, wallet and daily medications. Next, you'll need some in-flight entertainment to help pass the time. A thrilling novel and a phone filled with your favorite shows are some great options. If you plan to take a quick snooze, a neck pillow and some earplugs will also come in handy. Finally, make room for a toothbrush and some deodorant so you'll arrive at your destination feeling fresh and ready to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked luggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Sharp or pointed objects, like your Swiss Army knife, and dangerous goods which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, bleaching agents and strong acids, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of your aircraft are not the best place for a fashion parade. Layer yourself up with comfortable clothes and remember to take a cardigan as it can get quite cool inside the cabin during long-haul flights. Flat, slightly roomy shoes are always a good choice too.
- The condition by the name of DVT (deep vein thrombosis) can pose a risk on long-distance flights. It's the result of blood clotting due to poor circulation and inactivity. Doing leg and foot exercises in your seat is a great way to prevent this happening. Wearing a good-quality pair of compression tights or socks also helps reduce the risk.
