Wherever you're coming from, flying can be a pleasant experience if you're well organized. We've made a list of handy tips and tricks that will get your Laissac escape started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be easy if you've got all the right things. Firstly, you'll want a few basic toiletries, such as a toothbrush and some deodorant, a clean pair of socks and a good read. Secondly, leave space in your bag for your electronic devices, chargers, any vital medications and perhaps a comfy neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, be sure to bring your passport, travel papers and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- While the list of banned items differs between air carriers, the general rule to follow is nothing flammable, sharp or explosive. This includes screwdrivers, blades, fuel and fireworks. Sports equipment like ice skates, and objects that could injure passengers, such as firearms and swords, aren't allowed in the cabin either.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your main priority when deciding what to wear on your flight. Loose, breathable clothing is a sensible option, as are enclosed shoes like sneakers.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by extended periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Wander around the cabin and stretch your legs or do some gentle exercises in your seat to promote better circulation.
