We've pulled together all the info you need to make your flight as stress-free as possible. Follow our tips and you'll be cruising through airport security and enjoying Lama in no time. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First of all, pack your passport, official ID, wallet and daily medications. Next, you'll want some entertainment to while away the time. A juicy book and a laptop filled with your favorite movies are some terrific options. If you plan to catch up on some sleep, a comfy neck pillow and some noise-canceling headphones will also come in handy. Finally, leave space for a toothbrush and some deodorant so you'll step off the plane looking fresh and ready to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated. Sharp or pointed objects, like your treasured pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and fuels, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your top priority is to be as comfortable as you can. Go for shoes that are easy to slip on and off, dress in loose, natural-fiber clothing and don't forget to take a sweater in case it gets chilly in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by extended periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Wander around the cabin and stretch your legs or do some simple exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
