Depending on where you're coming from, your journey to Leinster could be a piece of cake or it could drag on forever. We've pulled together some tips that will help you start your unforgettable escape on a positive note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- The trick to having an awesome travel experience is to plan ahead. So, let's start with the basics: passport, travel docs, credit cards and any vital medications. Next, take on board items that'll help while away those hours, like some electronic gadgets or a few magazines. It's also a wise idea to bring your chargers, a quality neck pillow and a pair of headphones. And of course, don't forget to squeeze in toiletries like a toothbrush, cleansing wipes and a spare set of clothes.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by authorities. Pointed or sharp objects, like your trusty pocket knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and poisons, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should always be the goal when selecting what to wear on your flight. Consider your footwear choice with care too, as swelling of the feet and ankles are a common side effect of flying. Slightly roomy, flat shoes work well.
- The serious condition called deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can pose a risk on long-haul flights. It results from blood clotting due to inactivity and poor circulation. Doing leg and foot exercises in your seat is a great way to prevent this from happening. Wearing a quality pair of compression socks or tights also helps reduce the risk.
