Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be an enjoyable experience if you prepare well enough. We've put together a list of handy tips that will get your Luster escape started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be easy if you pack the right gear. Firstly, you'll want a few toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and hairbrush, a clean set of clothes and a few magazines. Secondly, find a spot in your hand luggage for your electronic devices, chargers, any medications and perhaps a comfy neck pillow as well. Lastly, be sure to take your passport, travel papers and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- While the list of banned items can differ between airlines, the general guide to follow is nothing sharp, flammable or explosive. This includes things like tools, metal cutlery, aerosol cans and flares. Sporting equipment like baseball bats, and items that could injure passengers, such as firearms and ammunition, can't come on board with you either.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your priority when deciding what to wear on board. Loose clothing is a sensible choice, as are flat, slightly roomy shoes.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a risk on long-distance flights. It's the result of blood clotting due to inactivity and poor circulation, so do some gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks.
