Wherever you're coming from, flying can be a seamless experience if you've prepared well enough. We've compiled a list of essential travel tips that will get your Mabu vacation started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- The trick to having an amazing flight experience is to plan ahead. So, let's start with the essentials: passport, boarding pass, credit cards and any vital medications. Next, take on board items that'll help keep you busy, like some electronic gadgets or a juicy novel. It's also smart to pack your chargers, a neck pillow and a pair of earphones. And of course, don't forget to pop in toiletry items like a toothbrush, cleansing wipes and a spare set of clothes.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Pointed or sharp objects, like your treasured pocket knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosols and matches, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- You'll want to choose comfort over style. Prepare for temperature changes in the cabin by wearing layers, and pick flat, slightly roomy footwear like slip-ons.
- It's likely you've heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged periods of sitting. To minimize your risk on board, drink plenty of water, consider wearing compression socks or tights and keep your legs and feet moving.
