Depending on where you're coming from, your journey to Marvell could be completely painless or it could drag on forever. We've rounded up some tips that will help you start your next great escape on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Firstly, and most importantly, pack your passport, travel docs, credit cards and vital medications. Next, you'll want some extra in-flight entertainment to while away the time. A juicy book and a laptop filled with your favorite shows are some terrific options. If you intend to take a quick nap, a quality neck pillow and some noise-canceling headphones will also be useful. Finally, squeeze in a toothbrush and some deodorant so you'll arrive at your destination feeling fresh as a daisy.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Check carefully that you don't have a sharp object lurking in the bottom of your carry-on luggage. Other restricted items include flammable or explosive products, like aerosols and matches, and gels and liquids in containers with a volume of more than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- The best way to ensure a comfortable flight is often as simple as your choice of clothes. Prepare for temperature changes by layering up. That way you'll stay nice and warm if the cabin gets chilly. Shoes like high heels and sandals are best left in your suitcase. Even though they may be your favorites, go for flat, closed-toed footwear like slip-ons. Your feet will thank you for it.
- Unfortunately, a risk of long flights is developing deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by lengthy periods of inactivity. To prevent this from happening, make the most of every opportunity to wander around the cabin. Compression socks and tights are also a great idea to help reduce this risk.
