Wherever you're coming from, flying can be an enjoyable experience if you've prepared well. We've put together a list of handy tips that will help get your Pollutri escape started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- The trick to having a hassle-free flight experience is to be prepared. Start with the essentials: passport, travel documents, bank cards and medications. Next, bring items that'll help while away those hours, like your laptop or a good read. It's also smart to pack your chargers, a quality neck pillow and a pair of earphones. Last but not least, don't forget to toss in toiletry items like a toothbrush, facial wipes and a clean set of clothes.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked luggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by authorities. Sharp or pointed objects, like your pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosols and gasoline, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an airplane are no place for a fashion parade. Layer your clothing and opt for shoes that are flat, enclosed and easy to pull on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a risk on long-distance flights. It results from blood clots forming due to inactivity and poor circulation, so do some gentle leg and foot exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks or tights.
