No matter where you're coming from, flying can be an enjoyable experience if you're well prepared. We've compiled a list of handy hints that will get your Pouch vacation started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First of all, put in your passport, travel documents, bank cards and vital medications. Next, you'll want some in-flight entertainment to while away the time. A juicy novel and a laptop crammed with your favorite movies are some terrific options. If you intend to catch more than just forty winks, a comfy neck pillow and a pair of earplugs will also come in handy. Finally, leave some space for a few toiletry items so you'll hop off the plane feeling fresh and ready to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Pointed or sharp objects, like your beloved pocket knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosols and fireworks, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your goal here is to be as comfortable as possible. Choose shoes that are easy to pull on and off, dress in loose, natural-fiber clothing and don't forget to take a sweater in case it gets chilly in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to wander around the cabin or do some simple exercises in your seat to promote better circulation.
