We've got the lowdown on how to make your journey as stress-free as possible. Follow our insider tips and you'll be zooming through the airport and seeing the best of Reberty in no time at all. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First, put in your passport, travel docs, wallet and medications. Next, you'll need some in-flight entertainment to while away the hours. A juicy novel and a phone crammed with your favorite shows are some fantastic options. If you intend to catch more than just forty winks, a quality neck pillow and a pair of earplugs will also be useful. Finally, leave some space for a few toiletry items so you'll arrive at your destination looking fresh and ready to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Make sure you don't have sharp or pointed objects lurking in your carry-on luggage. Other restricted items include flammable or explosive substances, such as aerosol cans and fuel, and liquids and gels in containers with a volume of more than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- The goal here is to make yourself as comfortable as you can. Layer up with loose, breathable clothing and don't forget to pack a cardigan in case it gets cool in the cabin. Pick a pair of well-fitting, flat shoes as your feet may swell during the journey. Leave the stilettos and heavy hiking boots in your luggage.
- Unfortunately, one risk of flying long distances is developing DVT (deep vein thrombosis), a blood clotting condition caused by extended periods of inactivity. To avoid this, make the most of every opportunity to wander around the cabin. Compression socks and tights are also a great idea to help reduce this risk.
