If you're not prepared, airports and flying can be a real challenge. But don't hit the panic button just yet. Follow these helpful hints and enjoy a trouble-free start to your getaway in Riolos. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First things first, put in your passport, travel documents, cash and medications. Next, you'll want some extra in-flight entertainment to while away the time. A thrilling book and a tablet crammed with your favorite shows are some terrific options. If you hope to catch a few z's, a comfy neck pillow and a pair of noise-canceling headphones will also come in handy. Finally, leave some space for a toothbrush and some deodorant so you'll touchdown looking fresh and raring to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Pointed or sharp objects, like your pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosol cans, flares and fuels, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an aircraft are not the place for a fashion parade. Wear comfortable clothes and pack a cardigan as it can get quite cool inside the cabin on long-haul flights. Flat, enclosed shoes are also a good choice.
- The serious condition called deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a risk on long-haul flights. It's the result of blood clots forming due to poor circulation and inactivity. Walking around the cabin and doing regular foot and leg exercises in your seat is a great way to prevent this happening. Wearing a pair of compression socks or tights is also a wise idea.
