We've pulled together all the info you need to make your flight a stress-free experience. Follow our tips and you'll be cruising through airport security and seeing the best of Rocbaron before you know it.What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be a stress-free experience if you take the right gear. Firstly, you'll need basic toiletry items, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a fresh change of clothes and something to read. Secondly, find a spot in your hand luggage for your phone and charger, your medications and maybe a quality neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, don't forget to take your passport, travel documents and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked luggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by authorities. Sharp or pointed objects, like your treasured pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosols and strong acids, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your aim here is to be as comfortable as you can. Layer yourself up in natural-fiber clothing and remember to pack a cardigan just in case you get chilly. Always go with flat, well-fitting shoes as it's possible that your feet and ankles will swell during the flight. Leave the high heels and heavy boots in your checked baggage.
- Most of us have heard about DVT (deep vein thrombosis), a blood clotting condition caused by long periods of sitting. There's plenty you can do to reduce your risk. Don a pair of compression socks or tights, drink lots of water and move your legs and feet. Walk the aisles of the cabin or try out some simple stretches in your seat.
