If you're poorly prepared, airports and flying can be testing. But there's no need to worry. Follow these useful tips and enjoy a comfortable start to your vacation in Šamorín. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a comfortable experience if you've got all the right things. First of all you'll need toiletry items, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a fresh set of clothes and a good novel. Secondly, find room in your carry-on bag for your phone and charger, any medications and maybe a neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, remember to take your passport, travel papers and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by security. Sharp or pointed objects, like your trusty Swiss Army knife, and dangerous goods which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosol cans, flares and gasoline, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your top priority when choosing what to wear during your flight. Loose clothing is a wise choice, as are flat, enclosed shoes.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can pose a risk on long-distance flights. It results from blood clots forming due to inactivity and poor circulation, so do some gentle leg and foot exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression tights or socks.
