If you're poorly prepared, air travel can be a real challenge. But there's no need to panic. Follow these tips and tricks and enjoy a comfortable start to your vacation in San Martín. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be a comfortable experience if you've got all the right things. Firstly, you'll want some basic toiletry items, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a spare pair of socks and something to read. Secondly, leave space in your hand luggage for your mobile phone, a charger, any vital medications and perhaps a quality neck pillow too. Last, but definitely not least, don't forget to bring your passport, travel docs and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated. Sharp or pointed objects, like your precious pocket knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as spray paint, flares and fireworks, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your priority is to be as comfortable as you can. Opt for flat, closed-toe shoes, dress in loose, natural fibers and remember to bring a sweater in case you get chilly in the cabin.
- Caused by sustained periods of inactivity, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clot condition that can affect passengers during long-haul flights. Lower your risks by staying hydrated, keeping your ankles and legs moving and wearing compression socks to help improve your circulation.
