We've got the lowdown on how to make your journey a pleasant experience. Follow our tips and tricks and you'll be cruising through airport security and seeing the best of Swedeborg before you know it.What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be a cruisy experience if you carry the right things. Firstly, you'll need basic toiletries, such as a toothbrush and lip balm, a spare pair of socks and a few magazines. Next, find room in your hand luggage for your mobile phone, a charger, any vital medications and perhaps a cozy neck pillow too. Lastly, be sure to take your passport, travel papers and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by security. Pointed or sharp objects, like your Swiss Army knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosols and gasoline, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- The narrow aisles of a plane are no place for a fashion parade. Don comfortable layers and remember to bring a cardigan as it tends to get cool inside the cabin on long-haul flights. Slightly roomy, flat shoes are also a good idea.
- Unfortunately, a risk of long-distance flying is developing deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged inactivity. To avoid this, make the most of every opportunity to wander around the cabin. Compression tights and socks are another easy way to help reduce this risk.
