Depending on where you're coming from, your journey to Tolox could be a piece of cake or it could drag on forever. We've pulled together some handy hints that will help you start your unforgettable escape on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be a stress-free experience if you bring the right gear. First of all you'll need basic toiletries, such as a toothbrush and some deodorant, a spare set of clothes and a good read. Next, make room in your bag for your phone and charger, any vital medications and perhaps a blow-up neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, be sure to bring your passport, travel papers and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by authorities. Pointed or sharp objects, like your beloved Swiss Army knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, flares and matches, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of your airplane are not the place for a fashion parade. Don comfortable layers and remember to take a cardigan as it can get chilly inside the cabin on long-haul flights. Enclosed, flat shoes are also a wise idea.
- Unfortunately, a risk of long-haul flights is developing deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by extended periods of inactivity. To prevent this, make the most of every opportunity to wander around the cabin. Compression socks and tights are also a great idea to help reduce this risk.
