Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a pleasant experience if you're well organized. We've made a list of handy hints that will help get your Topola vacation started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First of all, put in your passport, official ID, bank cards and medications. Next, you'll need some extra in-flight entertainment to help pass the time. A thrilling book and a laptop crammed with your favorite shows are some wonderful options. If you hope to catch up on some sleep, a neck pillow and a pair of earplugs will also come in handy. Finally, make room for a toothbrush and some cleansing wipes so you'll arrive at your destination looking and feeling fresh.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by authorities. Sharp objects, like your trusty Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, bleaching agents and poisons, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- The goal here is to feel as comfortable as you can. Dress in loose, natural fibers and remember to pack a sweater in case you get cold. Pick a pair of flat, well-fitting shoes as it's possible that your feet and ankles will swell during the flight. Leave the stilettos and heavy boots in your checked luggage.
- The condition called deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can pose a risk on long-distance flights. It results from blood clots forming due to poor circulation and inactivity. Doing foot and leg exercises in your seat is a great way to prevent this happening. Wearing a pair of compression tights or socks may also help.
