We've got the lowdown on how to make your journey a stress-free experience. Follow our tips and tricks and you'll be cruising through airport security and having a blast in Urus in next to no time. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- The trick to having an awesome travel experience is to plan ahead. So, let's start with the basics: passport, boarding pass, bank cards and medications. Next, take on board items that'll help keep you entertained, like your laptop or a good read. You'll also want to pack your chargers, a comfy neck pillow and a pair of noise-canceling headphones. Finally, don't forget to chuck in toiletry items like a toothbrush, lip balm and a spare set of clothes.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by authorities. Pointed or sharp objects, like your treasured pocket knife, and products which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosol cans, flares and gasoline, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- The long, narrow aisles of your airplane are no fashion runway. Layer up with comfortable clothing and remember to take a sweater as it tends to get cool inside the cabin during long-haul flights. Flat, slightly roomy shoes are also a good idea.
- Unfortunately, one risk of flying long distances is developing DVT (deep vein thrombosis), a blood clotting condition caused by extended periods of inactivity. To avoid this, take every opportunity to walk around and give your legs a stretch. Compression socks and tights are also a great idea to help minimize this risk.
