Wherever you're coming from, flying can be an enjoyable experience if you've prepared well. We've put together a list of handy tips and tricks that will help get your Voleones escape started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First and foremost, pack your passport, important documents, credit cards and daily medications. Next, you'll need some in-flight entertainment to while away the hours. A thrilling book and a laptop filled with your favorite movies are some terrific options. If you intend to take a quick snooze, a comfy neck pillow and some earplugs will also come in handy. Finally, leave some space for a toothbrush and some cleansing wipes so you'll hop off the plane feeling fresh and ready to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Sharp or pointed objects, like a Swiss Army knife, and dangerous goods which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and fireworks, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your goal here is to be as comfortable as you can. Go for flat, closed-toe shoes, dress in loose, natural fibers and don't forget to bring a jacket in case it gets cold in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Make a point of walking around the cabin or do some simple exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
