โWe stayed at Whitley Coach House to spend a few days in the area before attending a wedding in Frome. Tim and Ginnyโs communication was excellent, and they were even kind enough to provide a travel cot last minute as we had ordered one ourselves that we didnโt think would come in time (although it did in the end).
The coach house itself was spacious enough for the three of us, with everything one might need for a few days away. โ
โWe (my two adult daughters and myself) just came back from a 12 night stay in the UK. We went to 9 hotels, and this was our favorite! It was so quiet and peaceful there with no outside noise. The setting was beautiful with lots of outside dining spaces. The rooms were nice and the staff was super sweet. Breakfast was amazing with large, cook to order options. We would definitely come back and stay again!โ
โwe loved the red lion. The staff was so helpful and courteous. The continental breakfast was much moreโฆ The bar was great! Our room was charmingโฆ We couldnโt ask for more in a hotel with great access to Avebury and the Cotswald.โ
โI've not stayed in a Greene King hotel before (I've plenty of experience of their pubs though!) but it was a nice place to spend a night. The hotel seems fairly newly built and is clean and comfortable.
Pros: the bed had plugs and USB sockets right next to it (I hate hotels that make you plug your phone in on the other side of the room). The staff were friendly and welcoming, and gave us extra towels as soon as we asked. Rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet, which honestly is all you really...
โBreakfast was a bit confusing with everyone trying to get breakfast at the same time, but having said that the breakfast was very nice.
Would definately stay there again.โ
โPleasant stay, very lovely and friendly staff. Only downside was glass bins being emptied outside my window in the morning. Amazing food in the evening.โ
