“Don’t get me wrong, it’s rustic and charming with an interesting history and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was made to order and Sunday roast was impressive. All that’s good, but wear earplugs if you’re planning to get any sleep! The mattress was saggy and had very pokey springs. “Lovely hotel clean room brilliant staff, central location can walk anywhere”

“Lovely spacious clean room, with great bath towels and toiletries. The staff are very friendly, easy to chat too and helpful. The Full English breakfast was delicious and My Wife tried Scramble Eggs with Smoked Salmon, which She really enjoyed. Situated ideally for Chester City centre and for us a very pleasant walk to the Zoo. Highly recommended and will be back!!”

So, for the most part...
