I spent over an hour trying to cancel my reservation which the clerk said I could do. Well, I couldn’t. I’d reserved a room for two nights. But the clerk said I’d reserved the room for only one night. Not worth the bother.

Disappointing.
Service was good at check in and check out. Breakfast food looked old. The rooms seemed dirty. The whole hotel felt dirty. The towel rack in the bathroom was broken and there were partial patched holes where it had been. It was given a 8.4/10 on hotels.com… I’d give it a 6

It was overall an okay stay. The beds were uncomfortable. We stayed here with our five year old over thanksgiving while visiting family. The breakfast was good, and maintenance was quick. My biggest complaint is that we were sitting having breakfast when news about the war in Israel came on and it was upsetting to my five year old. It was playing loudly and I asked the front desk if they could change the channel or turn it down, because you can’t really avoid it, and they said no. We were the only ones in the room at that time. Now my son is asking lots of questions about war and death, and I feel like the staff should be more understanding about not exposing young children to graphic news about war. Otherwise, most of the staff were friendly although we rarely saw them. In my opinion the news should probably be muted with subtitles on so parents can choose not to expose their kids to something they’re not ready to process.

The rooms weren’t vacuumed. One room had bugs the next room had vommit smell. There were hairs on the towels and comforters. It wasn’t the 8.2 stars that hotels shows!

The hotel showed signs of age with the need for minor repairs (peeling paint in halls/ room, shower head didnt adjust easily, stains in hallway carpets). Breakfast had over-hard eggs and cooked just enough sausage as the hot options. In the pool area, you had to ask permission to get the jets turned on for the hot tub. Only one vending machine with limited options.

Very nice place with comfy beds. A nice hot tub and pool were a definite plus! I asked for a room away from the highway and the staff were very understanding and completed my request. Will definitely stay here again.

Quiet and safe area. The pool water was dirty and the pool area had at least 10 dirty towels scattered on the floor and on the tables. It wasn't cleaned up the next day, either. We had to ask the front desk for pool towels and to turn on the hot tub. The front desk person was never available and they had a sign that said to dial 0 for assistance. Went to breakfast at 7am and they were out of coffee. We stay at this hotel chain all the time and this was by far the worst experience we've had.

The elevator broke down the first day we were there. They did try to fix it. The carpet in the hallway is kind of dirty.

The staff & the free breakfast were great. Our room was safe, spacious, and the beds were comfortable. The motel needs numerous repairs in most areas. Our bathroom door lock was broken, the ac unit made strange noises when running, the elevator made disconcerting noises and the door needed some WD-40. Once needed repairs are made in all areas, I would give it 3 stars.

The first floor had a very strong smell. Check in was not rude but not friendly. Area has nothing to eat around it. Easy on and off from I 94. Room was clean and everything worked (second floor did not have the smell). The place feels like it need and update(worn carpet).

Better than sleeping in the car.
Property needs updating. Shower chaulk had mode/mildew. Bathroom had no towel bars, no night light. A/C changed from wall thermostat back to old style in the A/C unit but left old thermostat on wall. A/C very noisy, woke me up every time it turned on. Shower was hot with good water pressure. Staff friendly.

Had a brief stay in the Dunes area for Labor Day. Room was clean and surprisingly big. The only drawback is the room we stayed in was directly across hall from ice machine and someone used it to fill a container after we had gone to sleep. It was okay, tho, as I expect some distractions when we travel. Had a good night’s stay and the price was reasonable.

Not too bad, decent price. However, it could use a very good deep cleaning, especially the hallways and common area carpets. The worst thing is cleaning knocking on your door at 815am?! Really! Ck out is at 11am and talk to your desk to see if guests have coed out yet, Damn!

Hotel staff was very nice! Our room was huge and clean. Shower pressure was good which is impt to me. Breakfast is included. Very close to national and state park. Many dinning options near by. Would definitely stay here again!

Nice staff …decent-size rooms…clean and lovely lobby area…..biggest issue is the mold - you smell it when you walk in and upon entering the room, I started getting congested from the abundance of mold. There is nothing right around hotel for dining or grabbing water etc

Room was spacious and overall felt clean. Bed was decent too. Our AC unit was a bit loud but we didn't request to have maintenance fix it or to change rooms, we just kept it on. I was disappointed the hot tub was out of order as it was one of the main reasons we chose this particular hotel on our journey through the state. Wish I would have saved the bit of extra money to go elsewhere had we known ahead of time. Overall stay was okay but not exceptional.

Clean hotel yet the breakfast is...
The room was clean and beds/pillows comfortable. The breakfast was not as great as I expected. There were hot food items such as sausage links (they needed to be cooked longer-not a fan anyways) and some kind of egg white patty...I had yogurt and a delicious muffin and danish. Cracker Barrell and Denny's weren't that far away. The pool and hot tub were great when kids weren't splashing and jumping in/out of one and into the other. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful.
