Tiene alberca lo cual se agradece por el clima tan caluroso, sólo que arriba de esta hay un árbol que no deja de tirar ramas, flores, hojas por lo cual no permanece limpia, sales con el cabello leño de flores, hojas o ramas, mi sugerencia es podarlo un poco o en su defecto poner una malla para que no caiga a la alberca, los colchones de las habitaciones nada cómodos, me pareció un poco elevado e costo del desayuno para lo que es, y lo peor es que nos bañamos y salimos al cañón dejamos una toalla secando y regresando pusimos una mochila encima cuando dejamos la habitación de manera inmediata fueron a revisar la habitación y nos dijeron que habíamos manchado la toalla (era tierra) que la teníamos que pagar y podíamos llevarnos esa toalla era una toalla deshilachada y vieja y ni siquiera siguieron su protocolo de lavado, no se supone que utilizan líquidos para blanquear sus toallas? Fue un momento incómodo, mi novio fue al baño de la excepción y tuvo que lavar la toalla :/

Una propiedad antigua, que es hermosa en sus areas verdes, sin embargo le hace falta mantenimiento a los cuartos, fallaba la instalación de la luz del baño, encontramos al llegar una cucaracha muerta en el tocador, el personal amable y la ubicacion muy buena con estacionamiento accesible.

I loved everything about this property, stuff, and all. I would come back again. Only thing I wish there were small fridge/cooler to keep my drinks cold, but other than that awesome place, town, and people!

Jungle in Corzo
The tropical courtyard garden was fantastic. There were even some local cats hanging out (although fleasome). We took a tour of the Canon de Sumidero, which was fine (although our boat transmission broke down and had to be rescued by a backup boat which completed the tour). The town square has a very interesting fountain. We tried 2 different local restaurants which I liked but my wife did not. It was nice an noticeably warmer than San Cristobal, our previous stay. We picked this spot to be close to the airport. We found out from the cabbie however that we could have booked the ride directly to the airport from San Cris, without too much worry about roadblocks (cabbies now the way around them).

The accommodations and location were great. The only problem was in arranging an airport transfer. I contacted the hotel 6 or 7 times over a period of 6 weeks until I was able to get a response.

Hotel Ceiba is like staying in a tropical resort. The grounds are lush vegetation and beautiful flowers with winding walkways to the rooms at the back of the property. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The pool is clean and relaxing with lounge chairs. The rooms are clean and comfortable with nice bathrooms. Our only concern was that the room only had 3 electrical outlets, including one in the bathroom. The hotel restaurant is open only for breakfast and lunch until 3:00pm daily. Breakfast is a buffet with regional specialties and some western fare. There are a few nearby restaurants. The hotel staff helped us arrange a Sumidero Canyon tour as well as taxis to restaurants and the airport. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Para quienes como mi familia y yo disfrutan de los sitios llenos de vegetación, este es el hotel ideal, simplemente, me encantó. Todo bien, limpio y buena atención. Totalmente recomendado. Solo lamento que el restaurante solo atiende hasta las 15 hrs.

The vegetation and general style of the hotel were unique and incredibly beautiful. Great for pictures! The amenities were quite lacking. The hotel does not accept credit card payment for anything but the actual hotel and the restaurant. You cannot pay tours, taxis, purchase items, or even add tip to staff services with credit/debit cards. You’re forced to either carry cash at all times or constantly seek out an ATM machine, with added fees. Also, there are no in-room phones to call the lobby, no iron or ironing board, no hand/body cream, and there is sometimes no hot water, luke-warm at best. For a small village stay, the hotel is good, but it definitely does not provide some basic comforts.
