“We were only staying one night while we were working in the area. The room was large, comfortable and clean. There is a bar which is OK (there are nice pubs a short drive away as well) and the breakfast was a standard hotel buffet but of good quality. There are some very large but very dopey and friendly dogs.”

“This is a wonderful and quirky boutique hotel. We stayed in room 1 in no. 7 with the bath. The room was clean and spacious. We loved the addition of the bath, which is so deep that it was very easy to use without causing a mess (as someone complained about before). Breakfast was refreshed every day and consisted of oats, fruit, cereals and cakes. We found a parking spot a few minutes walk away for the first 2 nights and a 10 minute walk away on the 3rd night so this was a non-issue. We liked the...

“Beautiful property, gorgeous rooms but it’s the extra touches like free wellies to use when it’s muddy, free popcorn, drinks and snacks in the corridors, wine hour, free homemade biscuits etc that make it even more special. The grounds are gorgeous and we loved the serene spa space we had almost to ourselves. Staff also couldn’t be more helpful. Will be back in summer to try the outdoor pool ”
