โThis hotel is brand new. The area is perfect and close to everything. Obviously a downtown hotel is going to have its fair share of riff raff around and you have to expect but the hotel itself is very clean, staff were awesome and the room was fantastic. โ
โI really enjoyed my stay at KEX! The room I was staying in was key card entry only and there were only 4 bunks (women only). I always felt very safe and that my belongings were secure. It's very accessible to downtown by bus and there are always a lot of Lime scooters outside or nearby.
They have free coffee until 11am which was nice, and a bar that's open until midnight. I came during a pretty severe heatwave (40ยฐ C or over 100ยฐF). The AC was great and the bar was always willing to fill my...
โCheck in and check out was easy and quick. The staff at the desk were nice. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I wish there was a refrigerator in the room.โ
โThis was a beautiful property with elegant charm in the foyer/reception area. A pianist topped it off.
The rooms were lovely Recently updated and very spacious. I highly recommend!โ
โWe stayed here for three nights to explore Portland and it was a great place to stay. The rooms were spacious for a downtown hotel, the beds were so comfy, excellent shower pressure, spotlessly clean, the AC worked great, and the staff were so helpful from directions to donuts to complimentary bottled water on our way out the door each morning (it was so hot outside!) We were an easy walk to Powell Books, excellent food trucks, lots of cute shops. The valet parking is offsite and requires a ~10...
โEveryone one there was super friendly and welcoming. They made great recommendations for first time Portland visitors. There is a cool bar at the property and good food options. Itโs such a fun and trendy spot. All good vibes!โ
"The location is excellent. Overall, the staff are friendly. The rooms are spacious and decent, but they do not meet the high-end quality I imagined when booking. It's an average hotel, but it has a few drawbacks.
Firstly, it was listed as offering free breakfast, but instead of an actual free breakfast, they provide a credit that can be used like a voucher for the total amount. The breakfast itself is not great for the price, so it doesnโt seem worth selecting. Additionally, there is no bathtub in the bathroom, which is a disappointing omission.
The tap water is also quite murky. They claim itโs mineral water, but it just looks dirty. Being sensitive, I also experienced minor skin irritation after using the water.
The pool and fitness center are somewhat small but usable. This hotel is $40โ50 more expensive than others, and I booked it for the pool and breakfast as its advantages, but they werenโt particularly necessary, as the experience is ultimately similar to other hotels.
It wasnโt a bad experience, but Iโll likely try other hotels next time."
