โNo in-room fridge or microwave, not a problem for me. REAL orange juice at breakfast, wonderful! Sound insulation between rooms not so good. NO nightlight in bathroom, but there are some available at desk. Non-smoking room had stale smell of smoke, which took a few minutes to get used to. Towels were reasonably absorbent. Pleasant desk staff. Will stay again.โ
โWe had to stop here unexpectedly due to a storm and ended up checking in very late (2am). The staff was very kind during our arrival! The hotel was clean and quiet. We also really appreciated the continental breakfast! โ
โThis hotel and the whole town of Mason City was a happy surprise. The property has been beautifully, painstakingly maintained/restored with nearly every detail impeccably Frank Lloyd Wright. (that also means there are fewer outlets, etc. than you'd expect in a modern build.) Bed was comfy, staff was very accommodating, good dining options within walking distance, nice balcony overlooking the park, so bring a bottle of wine. Kudos to the folks who made this such a great and authentic-feeling...
