This property is not at all what is shows online. The furniture is old and beat up, the floors are dirty, upholstered furniture is old and stained, bath and kitchen are in need of updates. The smells are absolutely horrible. The property needs updating immediately- people should not have to rent in this condition. we checked in and immediately left.

This was a case of what i paid for vs what i got. They put beautiful pics on they internet, but we get there and it look like a trap house. We on the 3rd floor, no elevator in this b*!@h so we had to carry all our bags up the stairs. Get in the room and it smelled bad, floors dirty, the kitchenette floor was so sticky my boy friend shoes literally stuck to the floor and he fell out the shoes. Bath tub was so dirty, look like they been stewing oxtails in it. I felt like I was going to catch something. The only reason we stayed was because we had an event to go to and didn't hv time find any where else. I strongly advise you not to go here unless u hv no other choice.

We could not even stay here because it was so dirty and uncomfortable. It was filthy and smelled of smoke. Pull out sofa was broken with no mattress on it. Doesn’t even look like a hotel. Do not recommend staying here.

The smell in this place was absolutely horrendous. I had to go buy candles and air freshener just to be able to breathe in the room. The AC half worked. The bed was flimsy and kept rocking with the slightest movement. I’ve been to several extended stays and NONE of them have been remotely close to being this bad. I couldn’t get ahold of a manager on property so I’m disputing the charge with my bank. I ended up sleeping in my car

I am hoping for a refund. After checking in, I cancelled the reservation. I did not receive the room that was requested. No elevator, no deluxe suite with sofa, no lounge with TV viewing. ordered non smoking room, it was a smoking room. The room was filthy.

This place is definitely not worth the money. If I had a chance I would request a refund. First room was filthy, stains on carpet, and walls. Latch to window was broken, microwave rusted out. The lobby was dirty and looked to have not been vacuumed in months. 2nd room about same but a little better due to no carpet. The fire alarm went off and on for about an hour around midnight and the lady at the front stated she could not assure us if things were safe or if we needed to evacuate. All around horrible experience.

Carpet was dirty in the entire building. Closet had no door, the hotel has no amenities, no pool , no computer area. If you are just looking to catch a good night's rest this hotel will work. However if you go to a store don't matter how many showers you take you will walk out smelling horrible. Look good on outside dirty filthy carpet on inside. Low budget. Not worth $135 it's a 2 star hotel should only cost $37

We booked the room with a queen and a pull out, that room had bed bugs and bugs in the bathroom. The paint in the shower was also peeling off. We got switched to a smaller room with only the queen bed. That room had a white stain on the floor with rips in the carpet. The kitchen floor was sticky and the kitchen was missing a coffee pot. The bathroom had not been cleaned but was restocked. I had wiped every surface down in the second room and had gone through about 6 wet wipes by the time I was done. We also had problems with our key not always working. The only perks of this place was that it allowed 18 to check-in, the front desk staff were super nice and understanding, and if you have a pet they allow one per room for a fee. I would not stay here again.

Got in my room and there was a black Nike sock beside the bed, the toilet barely flushed, and my shoes stuck to the floor in the kitchen so it clearly wasn’t thoroughly cleaned, loud people were in the hallway and woke me up out of my sleep @2:16 in the morning and it was hard for me to get back to sleep.I’ll never stay here again. I also requested a late check out because I couldn’t sleep. She said well check out time is at 11, but I’ll let you stay til 11:30 which didn’t make much of a different. Never again will I go back and I definitely do NOT RECOMMEND!!

As soon as I walked in the place I smelled marijuana from the time I checked in and until I left. The occupants next door was smoking in the hallway. The facility was supposed to be smoke free. The room AC did not work and the room got very hot and add in the smell of marijuana smoke lead to the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had.

First off, they sent us to a room with the door open, underwear on the floor, lights on, and food out. We had to ask for another room and no apology was given. You can’t even breathe in the hallways from the strong smell of cigarette and weed smoke. Someone was literally smoking a cigarette in the hall once when we came out. The fire alarm was removed from our room. We paid for two nights and ended up just driving home early to not stay the second night. What’s worse was the service. I paid on hotels.com in advance, I already had confirmation proof of payment as well as my bank statement showing money taken out. As we were trying to leave, the front desk lady rudely accused me of not paying for my room and trying to “steal” it due to a payment declining on a card that wasn’t mine for an amount that didn’t match what I had paid in the first place. They never even took my card at check-in because it was prepaid, but she insisted that this card was mine and that I must not be able to afford the room so I was trying to leave without paying. As my boyfriend and I tried to discuss this with her, she said that we couldn’t leave or she would call the cops. She ended up calling them anyway with a false claim that there was a “crazy ass couple acting aggressive” and specifically referred to my boyfriend as a “man who is black or something being aggressive”. The police ended up allowing us to leave because she was obviously out of line but never in my life would I recommend this place.

The location is convenient. Office staff were helpful. However, the cleanliness and upkeep of the property were lacking to say the least. I was also uncomfortable with the number of guests loitering around. I stayed for one week, but as soon as possible, left the location and went to another hotel nearby.

Ok if you need somewhere cheap to sleep
If you are looking for a five star resort, this isn't it. We had a reservation at a hotel nearby that the hotel wouldn't honor which left us stranded in the area. We quickly booked a room here just to stay overnight. If you are looking for a place to sleep and is cheap, this is your place. We were given the last available room which wasn't updated (they mentioned that at checkin). The hotel is old. No hairdryer is provided so bring your own. Guests next to us were in and out loudly all night. The stairs smelled of weed. Other than that, we didn't have any issues.

I like that this hotel was affordable, close to downtown Columbia and the airport, and that the staff was pleasant and welcoming. However the actual hotel room wasn't in good condition. The toilet was running during my entire stay. The room smelled faintly of cigarettes, and the refrigerator was leaking. The stove looked very old and rusty, too hazardous to attempt to cook a meal with. The bedside lamp also didn't work. Overall, I wouldn't choose this hotel again.

The hotel was filthy and reeked of mold and smoke. The room was not clean. The pull out sofa was broken and the couch was broken. There were no towels, soap, or cups in the room. There was a TV with no remote and there were no controls on the TV itself so it was unusable. The window would not shut completely and the curtains were partially torn so they could not be closed to keep the street light out of the room.

toilet paper roll was put on the sink because it was missing the toilet paper roller & they couldn't find a replacement anywhere; they got toilet paper until the next day for guests; sketchy, furniture damaged or worn down, cigarette burns on the sink, nothing in the kitchen drawers, no microwave in the room, I have stayed at other extended stays which were great, but this one is horrible & the worst I have stayed at; breakfast was granola bar & oranges

Wouldn't stay there even if you paid me
This experience was a nightmare. After 10 hours of driving we arrived to find an unstaffed lobby. After waiting more than 20 minutes the clerk arrived and told us the hotel was unable to honor our pre-paid reservation "because of staffing" problems. The clerk called a nearby sister property to confirm they had a room for us so we drove there only to be told by that clerk that the first clerk "must be new" and that she couldn't access or honor our reservation unless we got it transferred so I got on the phone with their online booking only to be told they couldn't/wouldn't help at all because our reservation was through Hotels.com. I then called hotels.com and got them to cancel the whole thing and I wouldn't stay at Extended Stay America if you paid me.
