If first impressions would have counted on my stay, I would have left. Not once, but twice.
I’m guessing our person checking us in was not trained or aware of how to determine if a room was ready or not ready for accommodations, but they assigned us to an unprepared room (drinks cups all over the place, bed unmade, a/c off so it was hot, restroom dirty) not once, but twice. The employee was nice about it, but majorly confused, and then they tried to throw another employee under the bus by saying it wasn’t their own fault, but their colleague’s.
Just be sorry about the room and fix the problem. Don’t throw someone under the bus. I would have demanded a better room, but I was tired from my drive. Third time was the charm here.
The rest of the stay was okay. Not over the top, but left a bad first impression on my group, and me. It made me look bad in my choice of stay.
