“Location is superb right by harbor.. lots of narrow small stairs to our room on 3rd floor in roof. Room was airless even with windows open… breakfast was great however supervisor was pretty unfriendly and basically kicked us out right at 10am… don’t expect any frills…”
“Perfectly located (bang in the middle of Fowey), extremely helpful staff, lovely spacious room with stunning view, and fab decking area over looking the estuary. Would definitely stay here again. The only downside is that there isn’t any parking so have to go to one of the town’s public car parks. Having said that, we pulled up outside the hotel, put all our luggage in reception before going to park the car.”
“Location on a hill with lovely views towards the harbour. On Site parking and ca 5min walk to town centre. Friendly staff everywhere, nice room, it feels like a grand hotel but modern and beautifully renovated with tasteful decorative details. We had dinner and breakfast, both great! The restaurant overlooks the harbour! Can highly recommend!”
“Lovely historic hotel in Lovely Fowey.
The only let down is the resaurannt. There are good restaurants in nearby. ( shhhhh, try the fabulas Narla in Fore Street)”
“Everything about this place was spotless the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable the food and service was excellent you could not find anything wrong great place will be back”
“Helen and Paul must be two of the nicest and kindest hosts we've met.
After a 6 hour drive, to arrive to a cream tea laid out in the apartment was truly a lovely touch.
One of the cleanest places we've ever stayed, they'd literally thought of everything you could need. You name it, it was there, potato peeler, sieve, cling film, foil the works.
Helen even asked me what milk we drink and made sure there was a pint of semi skimmed in the fridge on arrival.. Thanks Helen.
The bed and the sofa were...
“The ship is unique because of its position in mevagissey. The room was not spacious but adequate for our needs.
In the bathroom was a fairly new shower which was great apart from there was no place to put your soap or shampoo.
The breakfast was cooked to order and like the evening meals were excellent.
The pub has been taken over by a lovely couple called Alex and Noah and along with their attentive staff I believe they will make it a great success”
“Charlestown was lovely but Room 4 we was allocated was way too small it was Ok for a night or two but would try the pier if visiting again as didn’t think the cost matched the room size definitely would not want a week as way too small.
Cons:
Bathroom was too small it was like a walk in cupboard no shelf’s and electric noise toilet
No floor space in the room
Window does not open
Can hear noises from all rooms as very old creaky building in a separate part of the pub
Pros:
Lovely big bed,...
