"The Craigellachie Hotel is wonderful property to spend some time in great comfort (lovely spacious rooms with full amenities), relaxation and plenty of adventures from hiking, local golf, visiting Abelour, touring fine single malt distilleries in the area, to great food and partaking in the art of scotch single malt, less known/small/reserve batch tastings that would be difficult to find outside of the Speyside region! "Keeping in mind this is a hostel, not a B&B, this property is well maintained and well managed. Located near Braemar and all the area has to offer outdoor enthusiasts, the hostel offers a quiet and clean stay with use of the kitchen. The beds were comfortable and warm. Would recommend and would stay again. "

"Leslie Castle has been on our bucket list since 2018. We are thrilled that we were finally able to get there. The Castle and grounds are in immaculate condition. Nicola and John have done a masterful job with keeping the feel of the place authentic to the history. The rooms were incredible. Modernized but still feeling appropriate to the heritage. The meals were likewise excellent. Dinner was a particular highlight after which Nicola expertly entertained us with the history of the Leslie Clan as well as the Leslie Castle. Thanks to Nicola and John for their hospitality. We hope to return soon."
