"Good spot right on High Street. Excellent attached pub/restaurant. Friendly staff, clean rooms and common areas. Smallish bathroom in the room we had, a little more space/storage would help. A light refresh would help, but overall great quality and value."

"An exceptional stay!! We recently stayed at the Balmoral Hotel in Ballater and were thoroughly impressed. Our room was spotless and well-appointed, offering a comfortable retreat after a day exploring the beautiful surroundings. Breakfast was a real treat, plentiful, fresh and delicious, with something for everyone. The evening meal was equally outstanding, showcasing quality ingredients and thoughtful preparation that made dining a pleasure. Free pparking was conveniently located nearby, which made arrival and departure hassle-free. Overall, a fantastic experience. I’d highly recommend the Balmoral Hotel to anyone visiting Ballater—great food, great service, and a truly comfortable stay."

"We stayed three nights at the Hotel Square in Tomintoul. Although this is an older facility which could use a few updates to rugs, curtains, etc., we were very happy there. The hotel is clean, beds are super comfortable and the rooms are large and supplied with everything we needed. Breakfast was very good! Most importantly, the staff was friendly and helpful, providing great service. We had a lovely stay!"
