The property improves every time we have been here since Harvey, the staff very friendly and helpful. The dining options are limited but good. Always enjoyable to sit on the balcony, look at the Gulf and hear the waves.

Great place and great location.

We only had a day and a 1/2 here but we throughly enjoyed it. The pool was awesome. We did go walk the beach so the location of this resort was terrific. The pizza from the food truck was yummy. We will definitely be returning to this resort.

Great family vacation

The property is still rebuilding but it is in good condition. The pools are great and have something for everyone. Easy beach access. The condo needed some minor repairs but was spacious and easily fit our family of 5.

Still waiting on refund as after our 7.5 hr drive we arrived to a building that looked like a hurricane had blown thru Restaurant was a circus tent, looked nothing like the photos … We stayed somewhere else.. Total deception on someone’s part ?

It was great. Staff was helpful and friendly. View was awesome and we had a partial view. The rooms were over the top. Even had a washer and dryer in the room. I would recommend it for a couple or a big family. There were sleeping accomodations for up to 10 if sleeping on a couch isn't a problem.

The property is still suffering from the effects of Hurricane Harvey nearly five years ago. The property today does not look like the property shown in the pictures. The restaurant is in a makeshift tent, and so is the front desk. The staff at the pool were accommodating and friendly. The pool area was great and the room was spacious and clean. the resort needs a fresh coat of paint.

Damaged, deserted and awful.

We ended up checking in even though the state of the property was awful. Not only is the first building you see almost completely destroyed, the construction made it impossible to locate the check in area. I had a heck of time trying to find anyone to help me. The property looked deserted. The water was off for about 1.5 hours after we were able to check in. The AC started not working once we found our room and had partially unpacked. We ended up leaving and not staying. Unfortunately, this is not the Port Royal we used to go to 20+ years ago.

The pools were nice but our room was not very clean. There were roaches and other bugs. We were told they would come spray for bugs and never did. The property was also under construction and there was a lot of construction noises. I did not realize this when I booked and was only informed when it was too late to cancel. I think that for the price, it was not worth the cost.

Condition of property did not match pictures. Property looked to be under construction and in disrepair. Railing on balcony and walkway was very wobbly and seemed very dangerous. Elevators were broken. Pool was very nice though. That was the only thing the property had going for it.

Needs condemned!

Apparently this place was hit hard by the hurricane several years ago! It is in very bad shape! In fact, I’m concerned it should be condemned! There are huge cracks everywhere, the ceiling leaked in our room. The pictures on the internet are nothing like it looks now! The office is literally in a portable tent. Very disappointed!!!

Property is dirty. Elevators don't work. Place is run down. Pool area was full of cockroaches at night. Had to complain to get a fairly clean room and still had a huge cockroach in it. Just not a great place considering what they charge and how they advertise the place. It's just a rundown dying old place. Location is good on the ocean, staff was nice and tried to help us get a decent, clean room, but the place itself is just gross.

Extremely disappointed with the portrayal of the property on Expedia, versus the reality once we arrived. The hotel was hit by the hurricane several years ago and has not been refurnished. 1/3 of the property is uninhabitable with no roofing, exposed structural beams etc. Reception is a trailer. The remaining hotel is in dire need of repair. We left a day early. Hotel refused any sort of refund or compensation. Photos on Expedia are of pre-hurricane condition. Do not book!

The pool and rooms are amazing. The hotel is still in disarray from Harvey 4 years prior. Apparently still chasing insurance monies through litigation. We had a huge sewage pipe break under our cluster of units and had to switch rooms the last night we were there. They were very attentive and communicated effectively. The restaurant used to be on the top floor of the main building but is now a temporary building attached to the check in center. They still hosted an excellent Easter brunch. The pool bar is adequate but lost power the 2nd day we were there and was closed. I have been a loyal Port Royal visitor for 30 years since i was a child. When they fianlly fully recover, the hotel will reestablish themselves as the premier Port Aransas resort. Until then, the pool and rooms are still amazing. Just prepare yourself for a semi-dilapidated looking hotel. My kids (2yrs and 6yrs old) had an amazing experience. We will always look forward to our visits to Port Royal.

The grounds and pools were nice and worth the trip. Our room was outdated and run down. The parking garage was dark, dank and there was standing water you had to walk through every time you wanted to go somewhere.

I have been staying at this property since i was a kid and am now able to bring my own daughters here. The damage from hurricane Harvey is still very evident and hopefully they’re able to get it all returned to its formal glory soon!

Very Disappointed

Paid for 4 star comfort and ended up with 1 star comfort. Very run down and old, paint chipping, bed and sofa sunk in the middle, cheap blinds let in porch light so we had to tack a beach mat up to sleep.

The property was dated as stated in re iews, however the condo interior was really nice and nicely equiped. The pools and swim up bar were great. The beach is right there, that was beutiful. Staff was freindly and informative of places to go.

The pool area was kept very nice and clean. There were so many different pools to use we were never bored! The beds in our rooms were smaller than expected-expected queen size beds but two of them were only full sized which makes it hard to fit two full grown adults in

They are still working to rebuild after Harvey. The pool was fun and terrific, our Condo was a 2 bedroom 2 bath, large balcony,the only complaint I had is that when you walked on the floor without socks your feet were black, and had a hard time regulating the shower temperature, the bed was great, kitchen wonderful ,washer and dryer very handy. The best experience was the pool, and the restaurant was not open so they delivered the food .
