“We enjoyed our stay. Parking was convenient and easily accessible. Our room was clean and comfortable. The dining was ok at Pins, nothing special. Over all, would stay again and would recommend to a friend.”

“Parking was easy and free. Staff within were not very professional. Getting food was terrible-very slow, not helpful and didn't care. Couldn't fathom check in rules as we couldn't get a room earlier yet a family member who had not arrived could....same type room. Crazy. I know it wasn't checkin time but we had to get changed for an evening wedding do and asked but they weren't very pleasant with their attitude”

“A beautiful location and an ideal base to explore the west coast. Rooms were spacious, clean & beds very comfortable. Staff all very helpful & friendly and the food was great too. We visited during a heatwave (which is rare) but it was uncomfortably hot in the room, even with fans - air conditioning would be ideal and if the weather patterns continue, this might be a worthwhile investment? The only other thing we missed was a fridge in the room - being able to chill drinks would’ve been even...

“Salthill Hotel is in a great location, lovely beach views and easy access to stroll on the promenade. The breakfast was good. I don't know what they were passing off as a chicken caesar salad but it was horrible. Whatever it was, it wasn't caesar but doused in it. Pizza was good enough. Music in the bar on saturday night was entertaining. Not trad but a good mix of classics and country. The rooms felt a little dated. Bed was comfy. Shower pressure good.”

“Great location in Cong. Close to everything. Parking wasn't a problem. Very friendly staff. Good breakfast. The only advice is that they don't have an elevator/lift. If you're on the second floor, you will have to haul your luggage up a narrow flight of stairs. Also, like most places in Ireland, no wash clothes. ”

“It was just barely OK. The bathroom was not very clean and it was basically just minimum for the money.”

“The stay was comfortable and the gardens lovely. The drinks and barstaff great, reception great and friendly with advice on sight seeing. The room was comfortable and clean. There was a broken window pane and the furnishings were dated. Bed comfortable. The food was disappointing. I had a seafood chowder which was pretty good and the fish tasted fresh. the main was a steak that looked pale and was not cooked with lots of fat and gristle, the vegetables were overcooked. The desert tasted OK but...

“Beautiful, spacious property. Practical Details for Americans: they have a water kettle not a coffee pot, so purchase instant or bag coffee before you come, not beans or ground. They have a washer and dryer. You need to bring pods and be aware, it's a condenser dryer that takes about 2 hours to dry a verysmall load (5-6 items). Be sure to empty the dryer water tank. It's muddy on the property, so bring slippers or alternate shoes plus something to put your shoes in to protect your suitcase....

“This is good for those who just ned a bed at the end of the day and are more up for site-seeing. Its provides the basics. Location was good for me that I was away from the city center it was quiet it was Secure very minimal of course because it's College residence it was a 30-minute walk to go downtown but only a 10-minute walk to Tesco & 15 min where the boutique shops were located. ”
