“It is a lovely building and the room was large and a beautiful period space. The pool area and grounds felt a little worn and uncared for and breakfast was ok but not great. No hot running water in the room, which wasn’t a massive issue for one night on a hot day but perhaps suggests this is being run on a budget. Worth being aware that no air conditioning so on a hot summer night, it wasn’t easy to sleep well with just an old, inexpensive fan plugged in in the room.”

“Very basic hotel rooms, no aircon - not listed in amenities so my mistake, I should’ve checked before booking but rooms almost unbearable in summer heat. They do provide fans but they aren’t up to the task. Pool very cold and full of hair. Expedia mentions a ‘cooked-to-order breakfast available’ but this is not the case when we enquired. It’s a very standard breakfast buffet. Room was clean but are very dated. Beds are comfy, watch your head on the stone headboards! Staff were helpful”
