Nice, clean room. Front desk helpful. Breakfast was good, lots of variety. I think bottled water should be free if there aren’t filters on the faucet. Shuttle was on time, clean and helpful. Next time I’ll ask for top floor, people above were loud.

Rooms were clean and beds were very comfortable. Looks like hotel has been recently updated. We checked in at 1:30 am after a long delayed flight. Check in staff failed to tell us that you needed to lift up on door handle to open it rather than down like most doors. We were on the 4th floor at the very end and had to go all the way back down to the desk. Her only comment was you need to lift up on the handle so you are good to go. In am on check out, staff seems put off that we asked for a receipt since we booked with Expedia. Told us they had to pay Expedia a fee and that we should’ve booked thru the hotel instead.

The room was clean. However, one of the dresser drawers was broken and they had replaced it but, it was non functioning (like nailed shut). It looked terrible and only left us with two drawers to use. The bathroom door would not stay latched. The view was not great. Parking was ok and I appreciated that it was free but, it could use some more spaces as it was difficult to find a spot one of the nights we were there. Breakfast was the same both mornings and the options seemed limited compared to other Holiday Inn's I've visited recently and the staff was slow to refill items when they were out or low. Front desk staff was ok not overly friendly or helpful by any means. The convenience of being close to the CHI and downtown was nice. Overall, I would stay here again if I couldn't find something close to downtown for the same price.
