“The room was not very clean, it was very outdated. The tap was leaking, the TV didnt work properly. The room was very small! Cracks in the ceiling, cracks in the walls I called the front desk and asked if i only stayed one night (i had booked two) if i would be charged. They said no but offered to upgrade me to a bigger room, with two beds. I accepted and we stayed both nights. The uograded room was still very much outdated, not clean, cracks in the ceiling, baseboards. The TV did work...

“Breakfast menu was good, with many options. Parking wasn't that easy to find, ended up parking on the street both nights. The room was clean, but for a family of four, at least one more set of towels would have been nice. We booked through Expedia and my wife had paid up front with her cc. Upon check in, a male front desk staff member was pretty snotty about using her cc for the deposit. He was kind of belittling to us and insisted that we pay $700 on debit for the deposit and would not accept...

“The rooms are very basic, clean, comfortable bed, very affordable with restrooms and showers down the hall. If you simply require a place to sleep in the Whyte Ave. neighbourhood, the Commercial is a good option. The historic pub downstairs is a bonus. Lots of dining spots within a couple of blocks, plus the nearby Farmers Market, bookshops, and many great local businesses. ”

“The rooms are always very clean. Underground parking is a huge plus on cold days. Staff is always friendly and efficient. Breakfast buffet option added on the weekends and the sushi restaurant attached is great. The downside is I choose this location specifically for the amenities and they have had issues with the pool/sauna/hot tub and gym for the last couple visits which can be disappointing.”
