Originally built in 1923 this hotel is like stepping back in time. Extensively renovated it’s a cool place to stay. Plenty of dining options within walking distance. We wish we could have stayed a couple more nights, and certainly will the next time we are in Cranbrook.

The service was first class. Front desk were all friendly and showed genuine care for me, even coming up to my room and politely warning me to move my car (I'd falsely thought I parked in hotel parking) which spared me a ticket. Excellent experience all around.

The staff greeted us with a smile. Check in took less than 2 minutes. We walked up the easy one flight of stairs to our room. The room was a studio suite with a king bed. It was very reasonable at just over $100. The modern bathroom was beautiful along with a massive shower, free toiletries & a blow dryer. 2 large TVs, comfy bed and gorgeous original brick walls. Easy walk around to little shops & restaurants. Highly recommend!

Cranbrook respite.

The Baker is a beautiful and historic hotel in the center of town. I was greeted warmly upon arrival and had a wonderful stay. The bed is very comfortable and the room was very clean. The restaurant recommendations were spot on and within walking distance. I do not hesitate to recommend the Baker Hotel.
