"From the moment we arrived, the experience was disappointing. The front desk staff was noticeably unpleasant and unwelcoming.
When we entered our room, we immediately found multiple bugs throughout the space. This alone was unacceptable. On top of that, we could clearly hear our neighbors, despite the hotel advertising the rooms as soundproof.
Due to these issues, we made the decision to check out within an hour of checking in and booked another hotel. The condition of the room, particularly the presence of bugs, was simply not something we were willing to tolerate.
What made the situation even worse was the response from management. When I spoke with the general manager showed no accountability, offered no apology, and handled the situation in a highly unprofessional manner. His response, “as long as they weren’t bed bugs," was dismissive and completely unacceptable.
We requested a refund for at least the night we did not stay, (our reservation was for two nights) but the hotel refused to provide any form of compensation.
Overall, this was an extremely disappointing experience. Between the lack of cleanliness and the poor customer service from both the front desk and management, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone."
"Family trip we stay at the Sonesta hotel in Sunnyvale. It’s so nice. It’s like you have your own apartment pet, friendly so peace and quiet people at the front lobby. They’re very nice. This is my second or third time that I’m staying there every time I go to San Francisco with my family I stay there this place is safe quiet very nice for family trip. "
"Expensive ($230 for the night), but clean and sufficient. They charge an additional $10 to park your car overnight. No toiletries but bar soap at the sink and shampoo body wash combo + conditioner. "
"I thought from reading the previous ratings that this would be a nice place. Boy were we disappointed! They were supposed to have a bar and restaurant. They might have once but not anymore. Rooms were dirty. Nobody was bothering to clean around the baseboards in the bathroom. It’s almost as though they just pushed the dirt to the sides of the room. The breakfast, which was supposed to be included didn’t exist. You could buy a seriously overpriced muffin, dry cereal, etc., but the price was outrageous. The property is being sold so hopefully it will improve, but right now I will avoid it."
"We checked in late and kids wanted to swim in the pool at around 7pm. All we could smell was weed from a table with young adults sitting in the corner smoking weed and drinking beer. Small outdoor area for pool. Not very good for children at all. Dead flies in the pool also. Also, after check in, I was asked via text if front desk could do anything for me, I asked for an extra towel as we didn’t have enough for the four of us. Towel never came. I let them know the next day, and all they said was sorry. "
