Nice Hotel but dirty room.
Book Binh An for a family trip to get away. We check it our room late and I guess housekeeping didn’t do a good job with our room or didn’t ?...because it was filthy and the pillows and linens wasn’t change out...a very disappointment for a 4star. Did notify front desk and they were really prompt at cleaning our room. Over all this shouldn’t happen.
Excellent surroundings with pine forest and paradise lake just outside the villa. The room is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The staffs are extremely friendly and very helpful. The dining experience there is perfect. You can enjoy sunrise, bridsongs and even stargazing during your stay. A not-to-be-missed resort in Dalat.
Although this resort is located 13 km from the town of Dalat, this is no problem at all. First, there is a regular hotel shuttle minibus or individual taxis which take less than half an hour to downtown. But most importantly, this is a very beautiful resort close to a lake and dotted with flowers everywhere, it's like a garden...The resort also grows its own vegetables. It is so quiet and peaceful, ideal for resting, walking and enjoying nature at its best. ...The rooms are very comfortable, well equipped and decorated with excellent taste,. The service is first class, staff do speak English and are attentive and ready to assist for any customer needs. The food is good and plentiful, especially the fresh garden vegetables. There are two a la carte menus, Vietnamese and Western. Room, food and drink prices are a little on the high side, but I will still go back without hesitation. And I know I will have to reserve sufficiently ahead of time because this resort is becoming popular with choosy travelers.
Immaculate resort, to-die for view, but service is
I've been to many five star properties around the globe, but few have truly taken my breath away the way Binh An did. If you read other reviews you will see the word "immaculate" come up a lot, which is the only word I can find to describe this hotel. There is not a single flower or blade of grass out of order in the impeccably groomed ground. The villas are a faithful reenactment of French colonial style, and set against the Dalat landscape is truly picture perfect. The room is also tastefully appointed, although the design is a bit strange (no toilet door, no bath tub but have a huge walkin closet which I think is a waste of space), and the AV system can be a challenge.
However, service can really be hit or miss. I called around 6pm to inquire about laundry service - receptionist told me she would get back to me but never did. There was never anything outrageously bad, but a lot of small hiccups here and there (missing towel, corridor light was not turned on, kayak person disappeared, etc.) that prevent me from rating this 5 stars.
The resort is also a bit further away from city center and many other points of interest. It has a shuttle service, and if there are not too many guests can be quite flexible as to pickup times and locations. Taxis are around 5 - 8 USD each way, not a lot, but can add up fast. If you're thinking of riding a motorbike, be aware that there's a 6 km of mountain road that's not lit at night - can be quite dangerous or unnerving to a lot of people.
The scenery is very nice, English is very rare so comunication was hard, breakfast was limited to soups and rolls. Room was very nice and lake was beautiful, very peaceful. Bed was like a rock, lounge is comfy though.
The stay was wonderful. It's a new hotel/resort. It's small, but not to small. 7 Villas and 10 rooms attached to their main hotel. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and well kept up. The hotel is 20 minutes outside of Da Lat City and is located on the lake, surrounded by nature, and away from any traffic and noise. The pictures on this website only scratch the surface. The room was clean, modern, and comfortable. They had a shuttle that brought you into town and back to the hotel--free of charge. Kayaking and bike riding was free of charge. Wonderful place. We look forward to going back.
