The room was great, especially the view to the river. Check-in and check-out was very easy. They can hold the bags for you after check-out. In terms of the quality of the room, no complaints. The biggest drawback is that you need to cross the road to the other hotel to eat, there's no microwave or fridge in the room, and the hotel doesn't arrange transportation to the Denali National Park so you need to pay for transportation ($10 per person) if you dont have a car. Highly recommend having a car if staying here.

No refrigerator in the room and the Denali train comes right behind the property and blows its whistle four times each morning, property 7 miles south of park entrance. Does not have an elevator, so floor two you are lugging up all your luggage. Overall, good place to stay while you're visiting the park.

Overall good experience. Helpful staff. They have 2 food truck right outside which are open till 10 AM. Go for Thai food, Chinese food wasn't up to the mark (at tht price)

The staff was friendly and very helpful the rooms were clean. Oh the view of the river and the train coming through was just outstanding!There was no fridge or microwave in the room. The laundry room had issues, with both the washers and dryers. I would stay there again!

Location is beautiful, bathrooms are well maintained and room size is good. Staff is excellent, courteous, responsive and kind. They do have an onsite food truck( good food) but rest other amenities are across the road.

I love how our room opened up onto the river, the view was gorgeous off the balcony. The wifi situation was a little complicated and expensive. The parking was tight too. Had to park far away from the room a couple times. But overall great experience and Niall from the Univ of China is doing a great job cleaning the rooms.

It’s hard to find somewhere to stay at a reasonable price in the area! Better than a ‘motel’ but definitely not luxury. This hotel is not ideal for older people with limited mobility. The front desk staff was very sweet and assisted with bags, the Thai food truck was AMAZING. The biggest issue was the sewage smell- the water coming out of the bathroom sink and shower smelled horrible, like a funk almost. Really just a decent place to sleep.

Good location that is 6 miles south of Denali National Park. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. We were in building A and the little deck overlooks the river. The bathroom needed maintenance. The drywall was partially patched but not sanded nor painted. Missing caulk. There was a small coffee pot but no refrigerator nor microwave. No extra chairs in the room. Very basic.

Carpet in room was dirty and old. Sink was clogged. Water was murky, not drinkable. No internet connection. Loud train going by in middle of night with horns blasting. Not so friendly staff. Basically an expensive Motel 6! Do not recommend!

Our room was right by the river. And you could see the train pass by on the mountain across. Amazing location. They have 2 food trucks on the property and they were open until 10 pm (we visited in the last week of July). Heating, and water temperature in the shower was good. Please out more soap bars. At least 2 per day. They were very small, round and flat, and 1 is not enough for 4 people for 2 days.

Grizzly Bear is centrally located. The hotel/campgrounds are nestled into the woods bordering the Nenana Rv and mountainside. The views are spectacular. The train tracks run along the river but the whistle isn’t a big issue. The room itself needed some minor repairs. The beds were comfy. Try your best to get a second floor room (I tried and failed) or you will listen to your upstairs neighbors walking around and their kids jumping off the beds until all hours of the night and early morning. Parking is limited so it can be an issue. If spots were better identified, people may park better and thus create more spots for others.

The room was clean however, i believe we were the first day of the season and felt the room needed to be aired out a little bit.It seemed a little musty. There was plenty of parking and beds were comfortable. They do not serve breakfast
