We booked and paid in full (5hours before arrival) because originally this was clean comfortable and offered a full buffet breakfast. We were advised via phone by the front counter there were still rooms available. And explained our unique situation as we are a tow truck company, needing a late night check-in and room for the oversized vehicle. She confirmed yes we could do late check-in & plenty of space. Immediately paid & got a confirmation email and continued with the long drive knowing we had a bed & breakfast at the end. It was incredibly upsetting when we finally arrived exhausted at 2 AM to be told they sold our room. They then tried to funnel us to 3-4 sister properties only to be told that they were not available either. They finally sent us to a budget suites down the road that was unlike anything we’ve ever seen. It wasn’t your typical “decent” budget suites it honestly felt like a hourly rental for the downtown drug scene…absolutely disgusting from the moment we stepped in the door until we left. We almost drove the five hour trip back home right then and there, but we were unsafe to do so. The beds were a hard stowaway style mattress, no breakfast the next morning and the place was just so rundown. The elevator was covered in graffiti and filth.
Trust us we have video and pictures We had originally paid 185 for something decent and wound up in squalor. They never offset the difference in price paid, for what they finally placed us in. Infuriating.
