“The staff was extremely friendly, kind and helpful. The food at the restaurant was excellent. The hotel and grounds are clean and safe. Everything you need is within walking distance but if you need to go further there is a taxi stand right outside the front door. I would stay at this hotel again without hesitation”

Part of this appeal is due to the friendly interactions with Ms Icis Malone, the proprietress, and her son. As the the stay was in February, the night breeze was cool enough to leave off the air-conditioning. I was able to eat some guavas straight off the tree next to our staircase! “This is the place to go to enjoy the warm waters's of the Caribbean and learn how to sail, windsurf, snorkel, paddle board, or just enjoy swimming. The food is excellent and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. You just need to ask and they are willing to adjust to your needs. The only little drawl back was the mosquitoes at night which they are not really able to do much about because dinner in in an open air restaurant on the beach. They provide mosquito repellent upon request...

“This was a wonderful place to spend the night. Fort Recovery is perfectly located between Road Town and Soper's Hole, with easy access by car to the great restaurants and bars on the west side of Tortola. Our room had a beautiful balcony overlooking the water. Check-in and parking were easy. The room was spacious and nicely decorated. Overall, this was a great stay, and we plan to be back again soon.”
