“Everything was wonderful. The room was beautiful and extremely comfortable. The staff was great. Extremely attentive and friendly. It was our 56th wedding anniversary and they sent a nice chachuterie board to our room. Every evening the maid came by with a sweet treat for each room. The property is very nice and right on the bay. Very relaxing atmosphere . I would definitely consider returning to the Amaka Lodge ”

“We spent 3 nights at Playa Nicuesa, and were totally bowled over. This place really is a hidden gem, and all the staff work hard to make it that way. Everything about our stay ran so smoothly, from our pickup and boat transfer on arrival, to our departure. Beautiful location, so calm and peaceful. Wonderful staff, all very friendly, polite and knowledgeable, and great that they always remembered our names! Olman's welcome on the pier and his easygoing manner made us feel at home straight away....

“Our stay at Pavones Point was perfect! The location is right at the top point of Pavones surf break. Walk right across the road and paddle out…or walk a little down to the right for a bit less intense wave. The condo was clean and spacious…had everything we needed. Clean towels, comfortable beds, coffee maker, toaster, blender. No salt or pepper and no trays if you plan on making bacon or roasting anything. And no full length mirrors but the location makes up for that!”

“Beautiful rainforest property with good birding opportunity, birds song, cicadas, and frogs, but "touristy", so the natural vibe gets ruined. It seems they cater to tour groups, so not very private or queit. Have to pay for 3 meals a day but on their schedule that's too late for serious birding and not as healthy as I'd prefer. I travel solo and do not enjoy sitting by myself or wasting time I could be out finding birds sitting in a restaurant. I go ut birding before daybreak so, lunch as late...

“I really enjoyed staying at Cabinas Golfito. I had a flight early in the morning, so I just walked to the airport which took less than 10 minutes. Host was extremely nice and helpful. I would definitely stay again! ”

“Quiet and away from busy roads. Building with lots of character and lots of common rooms for relaxation. Good kitchen to prepare your own food. Great breakfast and wonderful host”

“The local host Denier was more than accommodating, I would return because of his management skills, you can tell he likes to run a happy and friendly, secure hotel. Excellent service, great food. The place is clean, quiet, right by the Gulf with a dock and a pool. At the moment The restaurant was closed but we did have the included breakfast. The room was comfortable, A/C, TV, wifi available too(since phone reception is a bit tricky), refrigerator (there also more basic options on other rooms)....
